Maria Fitzmaurice is a licensed attorney authorized to practice law in Mexico, the state of Texas, and the state of Louisiana, specializing in immigration law. She earned her law degree in 2002 from the UACJ in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. During her studies, she gained experience in Mexican corporate law while working with various companies.
In 2003, she migrated to the United States and settled in San Antonio, Texas. Having personally gone through the immigration process, she experienced firsthand the challenges that many migrants face during this critical transition.
Recognizing the complexities and demands of the immigration process, she pursued further legal education in the United States. In 2012, she completed her LLM at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. She was admitted as an attorney by the Supreme Court of the State of Louisiana in 2015 and by the Supreme Court of the State of Texas in 2018. Since then, she has focused on immigration law, handling family-based petitions, investment-based petitions, and employment-based petitions—her area of expertise. In the past year alone, she successfully secured approval for over 500 work visas.
Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, who collaborates with her in strengthening their legal practice. Together, they have three children: Adrian, Valeria, and Christian, as well as two dogs, Kiki and Chela, and a cat named Stella, affectionately known as “La Abogata.”
Her hobbies include reading, practicing yoga, and spending time with family and friends.
